Tell us about yourself
I have been racing Motocross competitively for 15 years now and with the support of family and ongoing sponsors I have been quietly successful. My upcoming events include a QLD State Series called Thunder X, which has 4 rounds remaining. Travel time is between 2-5 hours of Brisbane CBD, so an overnight camp at the track before race day is usually on the cards. The next round is being held at Mundubbera in a couple of weeks and with the support of my girlfriend and family, I am training hard to place in the top 5 alongside some of the best riders our country has to offer.
How does LineBreak help
I am excited to have LineBreak take me on board, it's great to have the support of a reputable fitness product as fitness is the key in my chosen sport. I feel wearing Line Break gear when training and racing helps me to reach my goal of achieving 100% performance whilst at the peak in my fitness. This is important when National Racing Events usually consist of participation in 2 x 30 minute races.Like everyone else sometimes It’s hard for me to stay motivated during winter, with the chill in the air and shorter days especially through the week when you work full time. For me this means I get my head down on weekends pull on my gear and jump into as much on the bike training as possible. I have found Line Break products do a great job in keeping a consistent body temperature when training and racing on the bike in both Winter and Summer. Not sustaining muscle warmth (or keeping them adequately cool) can cause serious long and short term injury, something I like to avoid.

Kingaroy Thunder X round 3
The day started off really good with a solid start heading 4th into the first corner for the start of my 15 minute Moto, I started off really strong and fast holding down third position for majority of the race until I got a bit tired and started to forget to breath allowing me to make a mistake pushing myself back to 8th.
Second race came around with a really bad start but racing up from mid pack I pushed my way back into 7th, I was happy with that but knew I could do much better so I knuckled down and put in a strong last moto, the start was average but I managed to claw my way back from mid pack to 5th but my bad start allowed my competition up front to streak away and by the time I got my self into a good position they were to far out in front to catch with the time I had left in the moto.
I finished a solid 6th for the day bumping me up in the over all points.
Last weekend we had a local club day at Kilcoy, I love this track and my first race proved it with another bad start I was positioned 9th and clawed my way back up to first by the last lap, I was really felling good and felt like my pace had gone to another level until my second and third race.
My second race I was almost first into turn number 1 but a out of control rider thought it would be a great idea to drop his bike and have a little nap in front of the whole field of rider collecting myself and a few other fast riders, from dead last I clawed my way up to the top ten until I got hit by another swappa who didn’t realize he was actually in a race, taking me down AGAIN I just cruised to the finish to prep for the third race.
Third race comes around and I am set with a blitzing start I headed into turn 1 tied 1st but got pushed out of the race line into a whole heap of quick sand, things turned bad real quick with me going down and hyper extending my left knee I immediately thought the worst as I have already had one knee reconstruction on the right knee.
I cruised one lap in dead last and figured my knee couldn’t be too bad as I was still able to put slight pressure on it so I picked up the pace again and ended up getting to roughly around the top ten.
The knee is alright now and I am up and mobile on it but the night after the race it was very stiff, we will be seeing my knee specialist soon but not until after I finish the Thunder X series off.
Thunder X State Titles Round 2
Well we had the second round of the thunder X state titles on the weekend and we done quite well, the original format of the races was to be 3x 15minute moto’s but due to a slow start to the day the officials decided to increase the races to 2x twenty minute moto’s instead of the three race format (what a killer). Any way we done quiet well considering my training was a little off coming up to the event, I managed to place 7th in both races after two really good starts which had me placed top four for the first half of the races out of a grid of 40 A/B grade riders, but my fitness and my nerves got the better of me tiring me out pushing me back to 7th in both moto’s.
The track was really challenging especially for a taller rider like my self but I enjoyed it immensely.
So it’s back to the training for me to increase my upper body muscle endurance.
