Tell us about yourself
I am a member of the New Zealand National Women's Lacrosse team, who will be competing at the Lacrosse World Cup in June 2009 in Prague, Czech Republic. I currently train 6 days a week, including running, weights and lacrosse stick skills sessions. I also play lacrosse for NSW, who will be playing in the 2009 Australian National Championships in Melbourne over Easter. I have captained this team twice and am heavily involved in the women's competition planning and organising. Lacrosse is such a small sport in NSW that the only way to keep it going is to do it all ourselves, so we have a very tightknit community of lacrosse players here who are immensely passionate about the sport, and invest hugely in terms of time and energy.Proudest Sporting Achievements
I will never forget scoring a quick-stick goal against the National goalkeeper for Australia, in my first Senior National Championships back in 1997 (I was 17 years old) - I was on top of the world! Also, beating Victoria (our arch-rivals) in the semi-final of 2005 was an amazing feeling and NSW's best result ever. What are you hoping to achieve
This year I play in my first World Cup, so I am currently pushing myself further and training harder than I ever have before. One of my personal aims is to score a goal at the World Cup. My team's goal is to move from 10th ranked team in the world to 8th this year.My Blog

As I write, I am in my hotel room in Prague after another tough World Championships lacrosse game, recovering in my Linebreak compression gear of course!
It is 10 days of intense competition so recovery is even more crucial than usual and I can't wait to get into my Linebreak leggings after my ice bath each day.
