Tell us about yourself

I have been competing for Carss Park swimming club for 4 years. In January 2009 I swam in the NSW age swimming championships at Homebush aquatic centre. I train 5-6 sessions in the pool each week. I competed at the NSW age surf lifesaving championships in February. I do nippers every Sunday and do surf training about 3 sessions a week. I play waterpolo in the school team. We train every Tuesday and Friday. I play soccer in winter in the Sutherland shire competition.

Proudest Sporting Achievements

Qualifying for NSW swimming championships was my best result ever. I was very excited and then I qualified in the Wanda Surf club team for the NSW surf lifesaving championships in February. I made the final of the 12years surf race and the final of the 12years surf teams race where we finished 7th overall. This last season I have improved most of my swimming times but to qualify for the 200 breastroke at State I needed to take over 20seconds off my time, which I did.

What are you hoping to achieve

Next season I would like to qualify for more events at the State championships. In nippers my goal is to be selected in the Sydney branch team for the interbranch championships. To do this I will need to get a board and train both on the board and in the pool .I also aim to finish in the top 3 at the state surf championships.

How does LineBreak help

I wear my LineBreak leggings to soccer training and when I do my running training and I don't feel as sore after training and I seem to be able to run for longer (and I don't really like running, so that is better).

I have been very busy since I last wrote. I am swim training 6 times a week and water polo training twice a week. The surf season has begun. I competed in a carnival in Forster on the long weekend and was quite pleased with how I went. I do board training on Saturday mornings after swimming training and I am hoping to have my own board to train on in the next week or so.
So far my 2 water polo games (I am playing for Cronulla in the Metropolitan Under14’s A grade competition) have clashed with Sydney Branch Surf Lifesaving Development events and so I haven’t been able to play. I will be playing this Sunday and can’t wait.
I have kept up my gym training as well but I now need to add a surf session so something else might have to stop. OH yeah!  And I do go to school in between.

After a 6 week break I am now slowly working up to full training. The surf season is due to start in October and I hope to be ready for a good start. In the off season I have been doing a lot of dry land work such as gym work and soccer.  I have also been playing  waterpolo on Friday nights and training twice a week for that.
During the school holidays my swimming squad went on a camp. After training on Saturday morning and a quick breakfast we walked up to Engadine station. We caught a bus down to Waterfall and then hiked the 16km to Otford Farm where we were staying the night. In the afternoon we had a mountain bike timetrial around a very slippery and wet circuit. The next morning we went on another hike then jumped on our bikes and rode back home. It was a very tiring weekend but lots of fun.
I will be increasing my pool sessions this month and may even swim in a meet. I will play my last soccer game for the season on Sunday but waterpolo will keep going  right through till the summer season starts.
