Tell us about yourself

Basketball: I train 1-2 times a week and compete 1-2 times a week. In the past I have played for club (menai dragons), reps (sutherland sharks) and state (bangor).
Tennis: I train 2-3 times a week and compete once a week. I have played for my school and for my club (challenge). The highest level of competition I have been in is regional. I have competed in competitions including the "Australia tournament" where i was runners up in doubles and quarter finalist in singles. I am more dedicated to tennis more than basketball.

Proudest Sporting Achievements

My proudest sporting achievement is when my team and I became state champions in the NSW primary schools knockout basketball state championship 2 times in a row (2003,2004)

What are you hoping to achieve

I am hoping to achieve to the best that I can be in my chosen sports through effort and love of sport.

This week I was training very hard, because my team and i were about to vs the hardest team in the comp [after us ], the boy that I had to vs was undefeated and i thought I had noooo chance of even coming close to beating him. So after very hard training (tuesday and friday) my team was ready to face them! The girls lost their doubles (5-3), me and my partner Anthony won our doubles (5-3)(hardest doubles I've played this comp). Then it was time for singles, the 1st seeded girl in our team dominated her opponent 6-0. Then it was time for me to play, i started off playing really bad and I was 4-0 down, thats when I pulled my socks up and started playing to my full potential. Before my serve wasn't going in, but now ace after ace after ace. it was 4-1, 4-2, 4-3, 4-4 up to this stage he hardly received any points (maybe 3 or 4). BUT this is when he started to get fustrated and started to belt the ball even harder than he was doing before, I thought I was a goner for shore, but some how I turned it around from 40-0 and beat him. It was now 5-4 and the pressure was on. It was my serve and I knew it was my time to shine and eventially I beat him 6-4. This is a game that i'll never forget! After all the singles had been played it was time for mixed were me and my other partner erin, won our mixed but the other players in our team lost. At the end of the day we ended up winning 6-2 making us stay in 1st spot with the semis next week.
