I took a photo last week of Katie in her LineBreak mid air. Pretty cool. Thought I'd send it to you.
I'm also putting together a small video of the girls in their LineBreak gear which I'll send over to you as well.
Hope all is well with you and LineBreak - Katie and Sarah still rock their tights every single day. Love them.

SARAH Battaglene and Katie Bartoli both freely admit they haven’t been genetically blessed with height - but the pair are convinced they have the attributes to be a competitive force on the international stage.

After forming mid-season, they have chalked up a series of impressive results locally, and finished third at the recent Victorian Open. Early next month they head to Asia, for tournaments in Thailand and Indonesia.

Seaforth based Battaglene is looking forward to the challenge.

“It will be a good test for us, we need to take on teams from all parts of the world if we are to go to the next level,” the 23-year-old said. I have known Katie for a long time, we have similar games and figured we would mesh well. So far the signs are good, we have been training hard and are always improving.”

19-year-old Bartoli is equally confident of success abroad.

“I don’t see why not, height doesn’t guarantee success,” she said. “If you have the skills you can compensate (for lack of height). We just have to base our game differently than other girls, even though we are both under six foot, we know what works for us. The past few weeks we have worked very hard on our fitness, we know the conditions in Asia will be energy sapping. We are confident we will do well.”

Battaglene would like to devote all her energies to beach volleyball, but for the moment is happy to juggle training with work.

“I have quite a bit on at the moment, but I don’t mind,” she said. 'I work at a child care centre and also a few days in an office job. Once we get back from Asia we will see where we are at. Obviously playing full-time professionally would be fantastic, but we both realise it won’t happen overnight. We are also very lucky to have a number of sponsors who have been great."
